So weird to look back on here. I haven’t posted in almost a year. So many things have changed. My journey through school ended. I’m working in a salon. So many good and happy things. It rules. So here’s a picture of me and some of the weird paintings at the salon. I think I might try to update this more. Try is the key word. :)

Almost done with school. Stoked.
Oh….hello!
Well. It’s been sometime since I’ve posted anything hasn’t it? I did not anticipate how busy we would be at school. Ya know, with all the learning and such. And then working on top of that! It’s been a mad house!! Well let’s see if I can catch you guys up on what’s been going on…
We are out of the classroom. Been on the salon floor for almost a month. Taking clients everyday. Well if there are clients or if people are booking appointments with us. Building a clientele isn’t as easy as one might think. I know I have some friends that have booked with me. As well as walk ins that have set future appointments. That’s a good feeling to know they like what you did and they want to come back so you can help them feel beautiful again!!!
We still have our theory every morning and we are still learning new techniques. Only it’s faster paced than when we were in the classroom. The challenge is awesome. Stressful at times but extremely rewarding when you comprehend what it is they are teaching you.
I need to invest in a digital camera. Start taking before and after pictures of what I’m doing to build a portfolio.
Well this was short and sweet. But I just got to school. So I promise I’ll keep up with this better!!!
WEEK 3 10-18/10-22
This week…….oh man, this week was something else. It was fun, stressful, busy, stressful….it was a good week. We did so so so much. Learned 2 new cuts, people were cutting themselves with their shears left and right. Luckily the instructors were prepared with bandaids.
I’m having a moment of writers block. Dang.
Oh! Kent, the Regional Director (I think he is the R.D.) came into our class and spoke to us. He was so full of passion and energy that it was absolutely inspiring. The way he hyped up the education we are getting was awesome. It sure got the class going for the day. He was showing us a cut on the board, kinda, he was so energized it was almost hard to follow him. So much said, jumping from subject to subject, but it was super cool. All of my class is super stoked for everything. Big thanks to him for coming into our class and speaking to us.
Man, I really don’t know what to write. The week was good all in all, I know that much. And it’s super cool I got to post photos. Thanks to the awesome Amber for bringing her camera to school and shooting pictures and letting me shoot some as well.
One more week in the freshman class. I gotta make the week 4 blog amazing. I’ll take better notes, I promise! At least this post is full of photos, so you don’t gotta worry too much about the words I’m typing……or lack there of. Til next week!
